Goodluck Jonathan has arrived in Nigeria after spending weeks abroad. Vanguard reports that the former president arrived in Nigeria on Wednesday, June 1 through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. It was reported that the former president returned back to Nigeria after speeding some time in the United Kingdom and Côte d’Ivoire.
There were reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission may arrest Jonathan which was the reason why he was out of the country. It was alleged that the former president was on exile in Côte d’Ivoire and was evading possible arrest from the anti-graft agency. Jonathan however responded that he was only resting in the foreign country and had not gone on exile as claimed. More details later
