Serena
slips but Venus fails to put away the forehand to bring up a match point for
the younger sister. Serena on the brink of tears, she finishes it off with a
powerful ace.
The
two sisters hug, Venus breaking into a huge smile. It was clearly a tough game
for both sisters and they delivered a great match.
Will
that be the last time they meet in a slam? Possibly!..., But the way Venus
played tonight and through the tournament, the 35-year-old can carry on until
the Olympics next year comfortably.
